Associates and practice owners needed for survey

The British Dental Association (BDA) has sent out an invitation to associates and practice owners to take part in a survey on levels of morale and job satisfaction.

The survey aims to gather intelligence about dentists’ career intentions and views on health service dentistry. Practice owners will also be asked about practice investment and direct access.

The evidence gathered from both of these surveys will be used to support the policy activity the BDA undertakes on behalf of its members, including informing the evidence the BDA submits annually to the Review Body on Doctors and Dentists’ Remuneration (DDRB).

Some associates and practice owners who are BDA members have been sent an email with a unique link to the survey. Dentists are being urged to complete the survey by mid-July at the latest.

Health service

At the same time, BDA is looking for information from practices in Northern Ireland that are predominantly working in the health service.

The aim is to consider accounting information, looking at income generated expenses incurred and the impacts of practice allowance and commitment payments. This piece of work is sensitive, but it needs your input to succeed. For further information or queries, contact
