Kids enjoy Toothday learning

Toothday, which took place yesterday [30 November], successfully brought the message of dental health to thousands of children across Ireland in a fun and practical manner.

Throughout the day, children were encouraged to brush their teeth twice a day and were made aware of tooth friendly snacks and drinks.
Junior and senior infants’ classes in 2,500 schools around the country (reaching approximately 120,000 children) were supplied with goodie packs containing a tube of Aquafresh toothpaste and a certificate to encourage the children to commit to twice daily tooth brushing.

Many teachers also download a child-friendly story for their class called The Tooth, which teaches children how to look after their teeth through both regular tooth brushing and a tooth-friendly diet.
Toothday was organised by the Dental Health Foundation along with Aquafresh (GSK), the National Dairy Council and the Irish Dental Association.
