Gum Health Day announced as 12 May

This year’s Gum Health Day has been announced as 12 May!

Based on the key message for the 2019 awareness day – ‘Healthy gums, beautiful smile’ – the focus is on how healthy gums contribute not only to better oral and overall health, but also to good dental aesthetics, self-confidence, and improved quality of life.

Building on the success of European Gum Health Day 2018, the sixth annual awareness day – organised by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) and its national societies – has seen a rebrand to reflect the global growth of the EFP, which is due to welcome four societies from beyond Europe as international associate members at the general assembly on 30 March 2019.
