Ireland’s first Oral & Dental Health Symposium in Dublin has announced its line-up.
Taking place on 24 and 25 May, the conference will be part of the Future Health Summit and sees world-leading experts in oral and dental health take to the stage, including Professor Steven Offenbacher and Professor Bob Ciancio from the USA.
They will be joined by Dr Steven Lin from Australia, and Dr Nora Khaldi, founder of Nuritas.
Special guests
The opening address will be given by Marcella Corcoran-Kennedy, TD, minister for health promotion. President of the Irish Dental Association (IDA), Dr PJ Byrne, Dr Alison Dougal of the Dublin Dental Hospital, and Lia Mills, co-author of Word of Mouth: Coping with and Surviving Mouth, Head and Neck Cancers, will also be in attendance.
In addition, Safe Hands, leading provider of life support, medical emergencies, AED and first-aid training, will be holding workshops throughout the day.
‘Health care is undergoing the most revolutionary and rapid change in history,’ says Dr Richard Lee Kin, organiser behind the Oral & Dental Health Symposium. ‘This summit is a fantastic opportunity to allow Irish denitsts, healthcare specialists and advocacy groups to network and access the latest information in oral healthcare worldwide.
‘It is also the first of its kind in Ireland to have dental health under the same roof as our healthcare colleagues. This unique access really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.’
