Irish winners for Dentistry Awards 2013

The Northern Ireland region winners for the Dentistry Awards 2013 have been announced.
Rory McEnhill, dentist at Belmore Dental Studio, was voted Best Young Dentist for Northern Ireland. He previously received this award in 2010.
Elated to have won, Rory says: ‘It’s great to get recognition for the work you’re carrying out on a day to day basis, especially in an awards ceremony assessed by peers.
‘Winning this award is simply a recognition of the fact that you’re practising dentistry to a high standard – it makes it even sweeter to win!’
The awards recognised excellence in UK dentistry in nine regions across four separate categories.
The award for Best Team went to Creative Smiles Dental & Implant Practice (see image). Belmore Dental Studio was also Highly Commended.
Beverley Gilbert, business development manager at Creative Smiles, commented: ‘It’s wonderful to win, but just going through the entry process has been a really valuable experience.
‘The awards cover so many aspects of what it takes to run a dental practice. They really help focus your mind on a whole raft of different areas. It is a lot of work to compile the entry – but it’s worth it!’
On being Highly Commended for Best Team, Rory added: ‘Being recognised like this helps you find a good uniformity of purpose; everybody is highly motivated and that makes for a harmonious working environment. It’s a testament to the ambition and motivation we have here at Belmore.’
Jones Dental Care was awarded Best Practice. The award for Best Marketing Strategy and Highly Commended for Best Team went to Blueapple Dental & Implant Team.
Held on December 6 in Leicester, the Dentistry Awards 2013 brought together 700 members of the profession, celebrating dental excellence with a group of judges led by Amarjit Gill.
Belmore Dental Studio, Blueapple Dental & Implant Team and Jones Dental Care are also finalists for the Irish Dentistry Awards 2014, which was held on 31 January at the historic Round Room, Dublin.
