UCC Dental School announces new CPD events

University College Cork Dental School and Hospital has announced a new schedule of continuing professional development (CPD) courses, running from January through to April 2011.

• Tooth wear by Dr Francis Burke – 10 January at 7.30pm

• Basic life support for healthcare providers course for the dental team by Dr Paul Brady – 17 January, from 9am to 5pm

• What is the best bond? by Prof. RJ McConnell – 7 February at 7.30pm

• Viruses that dentists should be aware of by Dr Christine McCreary – 7 March at 7.30pm

• Inhalation sedation practical course by Prof M J Kinirons and Dr C Stewart– three half days on 14, 21 and 28 March

• Oral cancer screening: procedure, potential & pitfalls by Dr Eleanor O’Sullivan – 4 April at 7.30pm

• Management of the partially dentate patient practical course by Prof Finbarr Allen and Prof. Robbie McConnell – March 2011 (date tbc)

• Practical course on intraoral radiographic technique by Dr Donal McDonnell – various dates in April 2011 available

• Implantology practical course by Prof. Finbarr Allen and Prof. Duncan Sleeman – April 2011 (date tbc)
